Battenkill Inspired is the Folklife Center at Crandall Library's collaborative 6-month exhibition. Partnering businesses and organizations are invited to host a Battenkill themed event with a common goal to create a historical, art and leisure tour of the region.
Salem Art Works is having a opening event on April 10th. During this event we will present a group exhibition of local artists that are inspired by the Battenkill River. During the opening, we'll have light food, musical performances by the Reed - Nichols Trio, a talk from The Battenkill Conservancy about "The Battenkill for everyone", kids crafts, and readings.
Musical performances by The Reed - Nichols Trio
"Singing nicked-vinyl gems - spanning genres - in multi-part harmony"
Terry, Ann & Vivian really enjoy a good 20th Century song - taking their pick from the middle decades. And those songs really enjoy this trio right back. That is, as the Reed~Nichols Trio lends its own brand of harmonizing, acoustic instrumentation and rhythms - with original arrangements by Terry.
This Central Massachusetts-based husband, wife and daughter combo have long delighted in blending musically - both on and off the professional stage. … with Terry Reed, on lead vocals, guitar and harmonica; Ann Reed lending alto harmonies, percussion and drums; and Vivian Nichols providing harmony vocals and clarinet in the Reed~Nichols Trio.
