Salem Art Works (SAW), in partnership with the Northeast Blacksmith Association, presents a blacksmith’s meet at SAW on June 9, 2018.
Participants will work with instructors from the Northeast Blacksmith’s Association learning how to make several styles of forging tongs. Participants may choose to take their tongs home or donate them to a teaching station at the 2020 ABANA (Artist Blacksmiths’ Association of North America) Conference at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
This event highlights Salem Art Works’ newly renovated 1,035 square foot shop which features four coal forges, two propane forges, and 50 LB and 250 LB Little Giant power hammers.
