This workshop accommodates levels III and IV students.
Level III will understand basic principals of safety, equipment, and shop etiquette. Confidence with hammer control, temperature control, general “white work” and nomenclature develops with practice. Students will be introduced to fire lighting techniques, new tools, and preventative tool and equipment maintenance. Emphasis will be on gaining independence and time management.
Level IV students will build on advanced skills learned in Level III and will be introduced to making custom tools, twists, hardware, and other useful objects. As students become more involved with the metal, demonstrations will be tailored to their individual interests.
