This workshop accommodates level I and II students.
Level I students will get an introduction to basic shop protocols, cutting, heating, and bending with oxyacetylene tank, oxyacetylene gas welding and MIG welding, and plasma cutter. Emphasis for level I is on safety and appropriate use of equipment and tools to create multiple projects with scrap steel.
Level II students will build on basic skills learned in Level I. Emphasis for level II is more in-depth understanding of equipment settings and maintenance for greater control and quality. Time will be split between demonstration and hands on practice. The goal is for students to gain the necessary skills and understanding to work independently on their own projects after completing level I, II, III, and IV.
Saturday September 9 and Sunday September 10, 9:30am to 4pm
Cost: $200.00; Workshop fee includes materials and complimentary 3 hour studio time
Requirements: Participants must have close-toed shoes or boots, natural clothes, and hair tied back
