BEGINNER GLASS BLOWING

Level: Beginner and up

This workshop accommodates level I and II students.

Level I students will get an introduction to glass blowing skills, techniques, and shop protocols. Emphasis for this level is on solid forming with basic color application to create paper weights, flowers, and simple sculptural forms.

Level II students will build on basic skills learned in Level I. Emphasis for level II is on bubble/vessel forming with basic color application to create cups, small vases, and/or sculptural forms. Participants will work as a team to complete individual projects. Time will be split between demonstration, hands on practicing, and assisting one another.
