During his 35 year career with the YMCA’s throughout New England, Jim initiated six annual support and four capital campaigns which raised over $20 million dollars. He also developed strategic plans, and oversaw the construction of three buildings for the Saratoga Regional YMCA.

After retiring from the YMCA, he was still seeking ways he could impact people and communities. Learning and developing is still a passion for him. He started the first annual Saratoga Auto Auction to support the museum in the State Park. Today, this annual event has become a must on the Saratoga social scene, and is the Saratoga Automobile Museums major fund raiser.

Jim’s has been with Salem Art Works in April of 2019, where he feels he has found a new home. Like his time at the Y, SAW is family and community driven, and that was a familiarity he was looking for. This was the first time he was exposed to the world of art, and he came to the right place, because SAW is an international art organization. Since joining SAW, Jim started the annual support campaign, and the online art auction, as well as developing a strategic plan. He is also leading an initiative to develop a recreation path from Salem to Vermont.

Jim enjoys, biking, skiing, golf, and many other outdoor activities.
